General Operative Team Leader (Category 2) – Irish Times Print Facility
Location: On site / The Irish Times Print Facility, Citywest, Dublin 24
Salary: Competitive Salary
Contract: 2 Year Fixed Term
Hours of work: Full-Time
We are now hiring for the position of Category 2 Team Leader at The Irish Times City West Print Facility. This role will report to the Operations Manager and play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient completion of tasks within our Category 2 team through effective leadership and teamwork.
Job Purpose:
The Category 2 Team Leader will be responsible for motivating and providing clear direction to the Category 2 team, ensuring timely task completion, and maintaining high standards of teamwork and performance.
Key Accountabilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Supervising and overseeing the daily operations of the Category 2 team
- Allocating tasks and maintaining team rosters
- Supporting team members’ development through training and coaching
- Liaising with the Operations Manager on any operational challenges or improvements
- Monitoring individual and team performance, addressing issues as needed
- Motivating the team and fostering a positive, high-performance culture
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to optimise team efficiency
- Other duties as appropriate to the position
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability / experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Reliability, and ability to uphold company standards
